HYK's Perth Visit

Yesterday I set out to post photos of HYK's visit last week and found I had stupidly deleted the most of the photos I had taken.

Here's one of those that I had left, of HYK checking his email at my desk.

So now I have to try something I haven't done before: recovering deleted photos from the media card.

I googled for mac data recovery programmes and found a few which cost between US$20 to $50. I downloaded a demo which did nothing but crash.

I then found an open source programme called PhotoRec (free), which ran on both mac and windows operating systems.
After approx 1.5 hrs, it appeared to have recovered 10 files, though I still don't know what they are.

But look at how long it's going to take to check out the 2gb SD card!
