In Perth, license plates beginning with the letters "UQB" are exclusively reserved for Transperth buses. Hopefully you can make this out in the photos below, which I took off the web.
However, Son no. 2's car was registered in the state of Victoria, where he lived for the last 10 years. In Victoria, of course, there is no such restriction on the use of "UQB" and his car has this prefix on its plates.
And what is so weird, you may ask?
Well, you may have noticed he drives a Subaru.
And Subaru, read backwards, says "U R A BUS"!!
