Weather was good this time of year 28-30 Celcius and with a relatively low humidity of about 70%
Sunland Leisure Park
We took a cabin at this caravan park for 12 days. The going rate is $52 a night, but for our stay we got a discount to $42 per night.
The Park Office, Reception and shop:
The cabins weres laid out in rows, with nice vegetation around each unit.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the inside, but there were 2 rooms: a lounge/kitchenette and a bedroom. You can view their photos of the inside here
Of course, the wide angle lens used make the rooms appear larger than they really are!
Both rooms had air conditioners and quite comfortable, although the decor left much to be desired, with its dark fake wood panelled walls.
There is also a little outdoor eating area adjoining the cabin.
Wifi didn't quite reach the cabins, and I had to access it at the internet kiosk near the front office.
All in all, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay here.

Kuranda Skyrail
This is the longest and best cable car ride I've been on, going on for 7.5 km. It also allowed two stops for short walks through the rainforest and to view Barron Falls.

Last night, I discovered I had lost my little Canon Ixus 70 on the trip. I had no idea where I lost it, except that I last saw it at lunchtime on our last day in Cairns (Sunday).
Today (Wednesday), a parcel arrived from Budget Car Rentals, and it had my camera in it!!
We also found that they charged us about $100 less than what they quoted.

Incidentally, my wallet dropped from my pocket 3 times on this trip, and each time a stranger returned it to me.
