The Railway Station is right next to the Port Terminal, and is the end point of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Lenin overlooks all this.

View from one of the main streets. The monument in the back is at the town square.

This is the monument seen in the previous photo. With two other monuments, it forms a set dedicated to the Fighters for Soviet Power in the Far East.

The Truimphal Arch

The original Arch was built in 1891 to commemorate the Crown Prince's visit to open the Trans-Siberian Railway. It was destroyed in 1930s by the Soviets, and re-constructed in early 2000s.
A pic of the original Arch, which I photographed from the Far East Federal University Scientific Museum display, where we spent some time at also.

A tradition is for newly-weds to stand in the Arch and make their wishes. We saw this bridal group when we were there.

Newly married couples go up to the Eagles Nest, highest point in Vladivostok, where they lock in their love and throw away the key.
