At Long Last, Vancouver
Though there's lots of entertainment, you are still "cabin'd cribb'd and confined!"
Cabin fever got to me nearly as bad as Jack Nicholson's in "The Shining"!
But the reward was a great day with KYY and his gracious wife C.
He met us early and took us on a comprenhsive tour of his new home city.

At Stanley Park

Then, breakfast at the Kwan residence,

before setting off to see the beauty of Vancouver (and it is truly beautiful), and also a view of the less fortunate citizens, the homeless, the down and outs.
Afer lots of poking around, we had lunch.

More touring, then home for afternoon tea with the lovely as ever C.

Then we visited the seafood market at Richmond,

Finally dinner at Hachi Hana to round off a wonderful day! Great dim sum for lunch and great sushi and sashimi for dinner.

I thoroughly recommend and endorse Col KYY's Vancouver tour.
Thanks for a great day KYY, it was truly the highlight of this long trip.

TTH In Perth (2)
A couple of nights ago, we had a BBQ at my place; not long after TTH returned from his tour of our South West.
Here are some photos.

Flem knows I have the bad habit of feeding him tidbits from the dinner table.

I always love it when things come a full circle.
Sometime after meeting OGH quite by accident in a shopping centre (I hadn't even known we were living in the same state), I embarked on a solo bicycle tour around the Peel region in 1995.During this tour, I visited the little town of Waroona and caught up with OGH, where he was practising. Incidentally, I happened to visit when the Waroona Argricultural Show was on, and OGH had a cake entered in the competition.
He won first prize. But back to the full circle story. At that time, my other hobby was making fruit wines, and to commemorate this tour and meeting with OGH, I made a banana wine, the last bottle of which was opened and consumed at this BBQ, finally with OGH himself.
I had wondered if it had turned to vinegar by this time, but it was still ok.
