Our 'avalook time

The iPhone shuffle began last week when Son No 2 got himself the iPhone 6.

Grandma C then inherited his iPhone 5.

And I inherited her iPhone 4s.  Talk about the trickle down effect!

When providing the necessary technical support to put into effect Grandma C's new phone, I discovered these photos she had on her older one, showing an aspect of my life with dearly departed Flem.

The story behind these shots is that, in addition to his twice daily walks, Fleming would on most days, come to me mid-morning and mid-afternoon and request that I take him out to the grass verge in the front of the house.

There he would sit and watch the world go by for about 15-20 minutes each time.  I call these our 'avalook time.

Occasionally, the neighbourhood cat would pass by and Flem would take off like a rocket in pursuit.  He never did catch it.

I would drag out my old computer chair and sit with him.

On the particular day these pics were taken, Flem even took out one of his soft toys to keep him company.
